I don’t usually make New Years resolutions, but I broke with tradition to identify 3 goals for 2023: 1) buy a hairdryer, 2) listen to a lot of Taylor Swift, and 3) write the next book. Although I accomplished the first two by the end of January 2023, it took me until December to complete the third (watch for an announcement early next year). I also launched a new co-hosted podcast (Dr. Waffle & Friends), delivered a third TEDx Talk, recorded the audiobook for Beyond Your Bubble, advocated for bisexual health, spoke about bridging political differences to a bunch of audiences, and celebrated a quarter century since I received my Ph.D. All this plus time with loved ones, travel, and completed home improvement projects made for a pretty great 2023! Hope you had a wonderful year, as well!

Resolution #1: Buy a hairdryer

Without hairdryer 2022
With hairdryer 2023

Resolution #2: Listen to a lot of Taylor Swift

I made 100 friendship bracelets and traded them for these at the Eras Tour concert (which was amazing)
For the second year in a row, my 100 most listened to songs were all by Taylor Swift

Resolution #3: Write the next book

Writing…
Writing…
Written!

Additional highlights of 2023
